EmpatiQ is a platform for professional conversation training. Universities, independent trainers, and professional teams use it to connect teaching with AI conversation practice and review of the work learners complete.
We focus on conversations where a person's next response matters: a client interview, a difficult counseling session, a negotiation, or feedback between a manager and a colleague. The expert defines what learners should practice. The learner makes decisions in a conversation. The resulting exchange gives both learner and instructor something concrete to review.
What does conversation training look like?
Imagine a fictional client who describes a disagreement at work. They seem to want help leaving their job, but further questions reveal that their priority is keeping the role and resolving one specific problem.
The learner has a choice. They can continue with their first assumption, or pause, check the client's priorities, and change the direction of the interview. That choice is the material for the lesson.
In EmpatiQ, an AI counterpart provides the other side of the practice conversation. The scenario gives that counterpart a role, context, and behavior. Depending on the exercise, learners work in voice or text, through a scripted or responsive conversation.
Train, Practice, Record
Our approach has three connected parts.
Train: Start with the expertise. A program brings together the curriculum, methods, and learning objectives. A conversation should have a clear purpose, such as checking understanding before suggesting a next step.
Practice: Put the method to work. Learners respond to an AI counterpart, see how the exchange unfolds, and have room to try again. A counterpart may hesitate, object, or correct an assumption, giving the learner a reason to adapt.
Record: Make the work visible. Conversation records, feedback, and completed training support reflection. Review follows the course: it may involve a written reflection, instructor feedback, or an AI debrief. Private practice has its own AI assessment.
The useful question after an exercise is specific: “Where did you check the client's priority, and what happened next?” A transcript can help answer it.
Who is EmpatiQ for?
Universities and academies can place conversation practice within professional education. Our university focus includes psychology, law, and criminal justice.
Independent experts and trainers bring their own content and teaching approach. EmpatiQ Creator connects that expertise with scenarios learners can practice alongside the lessons.
Professional teams can build practice around feedback, conflict, interviewing, and communication under pressure. The training objective comes from the team's responsibilities and the expertise of its instructors.
Individual professionals can practice difficult conversations and use professional tools for review and documentation. The pathways on our homepage explain Campus, Creator, and Pro.
Where the instructor fits
The instructor gives the exercise its professional meaning. They decide what the learner's role allows, what a suitable response looks like, and how to interpret the evidence from an attempt.
AI feedback can help draw attention to an exchange, but professional judgment remains essential. Completing a scenario and demonstrating a skill are different claims. A training record should make that distinction clear.
Start with one conversation
Bring us a conversation your learners need to handle and the method you teach for handling it. From there, we can discuss a focused objective, a suitable scenario, and how you want to review the work.
